From Carl Borsing: I plan to find time to create new sample instruments for Native Instruments Kontakt 5 in the future. It would be nice if we could convert our Swedish Church organ to this format as well in a near future. I have asked Rolf Nlsson what he thinks so we shall see.. Rolf Nilsson about our old Cathedral Organ instrument patch for the Creative Labs SoundBlaster AWE-32.. This is part of a project that I and my college friend Carl Mikael Borsing worked on back in the late 1990s. We sampled the church organ of Norra Mellby in Hässleholm's County, pipe by pipe and note by note and reforged the entire instrument into a computer-friendly format. Meaning that the church organ is playable like a synthesizer, through a computer with sound capabilities and a MIDI-keyboard. The chosen music piece, Bach's Toccata in D Minor, is one of the most demanding to perform and is indeed revealing whether the instrument is capable or not. I think it is doing quite well, actually... Our instrument has also been used by us to produce CD's for an American publishing House, e.g. this one: http://online.nph.net/p-5433-cd-christian-worship-hymns-volume-1.aspx
Turn your volume down!
NOTE! The perhaps not so realistic Reverb was produced by AWE-32’s onboard EMU-8000 DSP
